Fun in the foam

ABOVE: Children play in the green foam during the annual Green Giant Foam Party on Thursday evening at Giant Park in Blue Earth. The party officially kicked off Blue Earth's annual summer festival, Giant Days, which will continue from Friday, July 10, to Sunday, July 12, across Blue Earth. Events include fireworks at dusk (about 9:36 p.m.) on Friday on Main Street, the Giant Days 5K Run at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday at Giant Park, the Giant Days Parade at 10 a.m. on Saturday through Main Street and more events, presented by the Blue Earth Area Chamber of Commerce and Convention and Visitors Bureau.
