Meals are served at Friendship Village at 11:30 a.m. Monday through Friday. Milk is served each day. The menu is subject to change.

FAIRMONT

Monday — Nacho chicken, shredded lettuce, tomato, refried beans, corn, dinner roll, applesauce, frosted marble cake, milk. Alternate: Hamburger steak.

Tuesday — French dip, French fries, creamy cucumber salad, Mandarin oranges, ice cream, milk. Alternate: Catch of the Day.

Wednesday — Pork chop supreme, potato salad, baked beans, bread, butter, Mandarin oranges, peach cobbler, milk. Alternate: Cheesy meatloaf slider.

Thursday — Fried chicken, sweet potato puff casserole, cascade blend vegetables, bread, butter, fruit cocktail, pudding sundae, milk. Alternate: Barbecue ribs.

Friday — Catch of the Day, Parmesan orzo pasta, lemon broccoli, breadstick, pears, ice cream, milk. Alternate: Chicken parmesan pasta.

LSS MEALS ON WHEELS (in partnership with Heartland Senior Living in Truman)

Meals on Wheels in Truman helps older adults maintain good health and remain living at home, by providing hot, nutritious meals Monday through Friday, as well as a friendly visit and safety check for Minnesotans age 60 and older. Meals are served at Blue Earth Senior Center from noon Monday through Friday. Milk and bread are served each day. The menu is subject to change. Meals are catered by St. Luke’s Lutheran Care Center in Blue Earth. The cost is $4 to eat in and $6.50 to take out.

Tuesday — Roast beef commercial, Brussels sprouts, cupcake, bread, milk.

Hot Meals on Wheels is available Monday through Saturday for convalescents and persons who cannot purchase and prepare adequate meals. This is a community project and is non-profit and not government-funded.
