ABOVE: FAIRMONT– Charlee and Macy Klug enjoy treats and beverages during the Fairmont Women of Today’s second CreativiTEA Party on Saturday, April 11, at the Red Rock Center for the Arts in Fairmont. Other event activities included many arts and crafts stations, cookie decorating, nail and hair decorations and a photo booth. The event supported Heaven’s Table Food Shelf Backpack Program, which provides children in grades kindergarten to six with meals for the weekend and holiday breaks.

ABOVE: FAIRMONT — American Legion Lee C Prentice Post 36 Commander Steve Fosness presented a donation of $400 to Unified Cardinals, instructed by Joelle Thomas and Shawna Zabinski, for a planned activity.

ABOVE: TRUMAN — St. Paul’s Lutheran School students Liam Freeman, Summar Geistfeld, Olivia Slabbert, Brynn Wiens, Aurora Curtis, Henry Slabbert, Raylan Arndt and Matthew Glaser competed in the annual Spelling Bee at the school in Truman. The students took third place.

ABOVE: FAIRMONT — Patients and families in the Fairmont area are benefiting from improved prenatal and newborn care at United Hospital District (UHD)-Fairmont, following the recent implementation of new equipment funded by a $65,267.61 grant from the Fairmont Community Hospital (FCH) Foundation. The grant supported the purchase of a GE Medical System ultrasound dedicated specifically to obstetric (OB) care, as well as a transcutaneous bilirubin meter used for newborn jaundice screening. Both pieces of equipment are now in use at the UHD Fairmont Clinic, enhancing care for local families.
