Meals are served at Friendship Village at 11:30 a.m. Monday through Friday. Milk is served each day. The menu is subject to change.

FAIRMONT

Monday — Maple-glazed meatloaf, roasted sweet potatoes with bacon, Brussels sprouts, dinner roll, applesauce, pineapple upside-down trifle, milk. Alternate: Fried chicken.

Tuesday — Creamy paprika pork chop, buttered noodles, broccoli, bread and butter, Mandarin oranges, iced oatmeal cookie bar, milk. Alternate: Meatloaf slider.

Wednesday — Apricot chicken, mini baked potatoes, parboiled cauliflower, bread and butter, Mandarin oranges, cinnamon roll, cherry cobbler, milk. Alternate: Baked pork chop.

Thursday — Roast turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, carrots, bread and butter, fruit cocktail, peanut butter cup dessert, milk. Alternate: Chicken breast.

Friday — Catch of the Day, O’Brien potatoes, buttered peas, bread and butter, pears, vanilla almond cake, milk. Alternate: Turkey commercial.

Meals on Wheels in Truman helps older adults maintain good health and remain living at home, by providing hot, nutritious meals Monday through Friday, as well as a friendly visit and safety check for Minnesotans age 60 and older. Meals are served at Blue Earth Senior Center from noon Monday through Friday. Milk and bread are served each day. The menu is subject to change. Meals are catered by St. Luke’s Lutheran Care Center in Blue Earth. The cost is $4 to eat in and $6.50 to take out.

Monday — California burgers, potato wedges, carrots, peaches, bread, milk.

Tuesday — Roast beef commercial, Brussel sprouts, cupcake, bread, milk.

Hot Meals on Wheels is available Monday through Saturday for convalescents and persons who cannot purchase and prepare adequate meals. This is a community project and is non-profit and not government-funded.
