Students safely set off to school

ABOVE: Twenty-five St. John Vianney (SJV) Catholic School students and three Early Risers Kiwanis Club of Fairmont members walk from the Aquatic Park to SJV during Safe Routes to School (SRTS) on Tuesday morning in Fairmont. SRTS is offered through Fairmont Community Education and Recreation (CER). The program aims to promote safe, healthy methods for students to get to school by foot or bicycle, and will continue each Tuesday morning until Tuesday, May 19. Routes include: Route 1 at Corner of Day Street and South Orient at 7:45 a.m., Route 2 at the Fairmont Aquatic Park at 7:30 a.m., Route 3 at St Paul Lutheran School Playground at 7:40 a.m., and Route 4 at Grace Lutheran Church at 7:30 a.m. For additional information, contact CER at (507) 235-3141 or visit www.fairmont.k12.mn.us/o/cer.
