SENIOR DINING

IN FAIRMONT

Meals are served at Friendship Village at 11:30 a.m. Monday through Friday. Milk is served each day. The menu is subject to change.

To reserve your meal, call (507) 238-1650 between 9 a.m. and noon the day before.

This project is partially funded through a grant from Region 9 Area Agency on Aging under Title III-C of the Older Americans Act and is sponsored by Lutheran Social Services.

FAIRMONT

Monday — Apple cranberry chicken, mashed sweet potatoes, succotash, dinner roll, applesauce, blueberry buckle, milk. Alternate: Beef commercial.

Tuesday — Italian cavatelli, rivera vegetables, garlic toast, peaches, chocolate gooey cake, milk. Alternate: Chicken breast.

Wednesday — Glazed ham balls, rice pilaf, mixed vegetables, bread and butter, Mandarin oranges, strawberry marshmallow dessert, milk. Alternate: Italian cavatelli cup.

Thursday — Stacked chicken enchilada, parmesan street corn, fruit cocktail, caramel apple crisp, milk. Alternate: Ham balls.

Friday — Catch of the Day, macaroni and cheese, mixed vegetables, bread and butter, pears, banana poke cake, milk. Alternate: Enchilada pasta bake.

LSS MEALS ON WHEELS (in partnership with Heartland Senior Living in Truman)

Meals on Wheels in Truman helps older adults maintain good health and remain living at home, by providing hot, nutritious meals Monday through Friday, as well as a friendly visit and safety check for Minnesotans age 60 and older. Note: The menu is subject to change due to supplier issues. To sign up for the program or for further information, call Holly at (507) 776-2031.

IN BLUE EARTH

Meals are served at Blue Earth Senior Center from noon Monday through Friday. Milk and bread are served each day. The menu is subject to change. Meals are catered by St. Luke’s Lutheran Care Center in Blue Earth. The cost is $4 to eat in and $6.50 to take out.

To reserve your meal, call (507) 526-3850 before 8:45 a.m. the day of the meal.

Monday — Calico bean casserole, baked potato, carrots, Mandarin oranges, bread, milk.

Tuesday — Lasagna, lettuce salad, strawberry gelatin dessert, garlic bread, bread, milk.

Wednesday — Meatballs, mashed potatoes, peas, pudding, topping, bread, milk.

Thursday — Hamburgers, potato salad, baked beans, ice cream, bread, milk.

Friday — Seafood salad, grapes, assorted crackers, cake, bread, milk.

ON WHEELS

Hot Meals on Wheels is available Monday through Saturday for convalescents and persons who cannot purchase and prepare adequate meals. This is a community project and is non-profit and not government-funded.
