FAIRMONT — Fairmont Speech takes 5th place as a team at the Class A State Speech Tournament held April 23, at Eastview High School. Results of Fairmont Speech participants are as follows:

Senior, Eleanor Hamlet, takes 4th place in great speeches; Freshman, Dominick Lund-May, takes 4th place in extemporaneous speaking;

Junior, Lilly Laven, takes 5th place in informative speaking; Senior, Kaycie Brookens, takes 5th place in prose; Sophomore, Abi Peyman, takes 7th place in original oratory; and Senior, Vanessa Schultze, takes 8th place in creative expression. The Fairmont Speech Team is coached by Kathleen Walker, Erik Walker, and Miles Duffey.
