Meals are served at Friendship Village 11:30 a.m. Monday through Friday. Milk served each day. Menu is subject to change.

FAIRMONT

MONDAY — Spaghetti pie, garlic knots, Italian herb green beans, bread and butter, cherries in the snow, pears, milk. Alternate: Scalloped potatoes and ham.

TUESDAY — Butter pecan chicken, sweet potatoes and apples, parsley cauliflower, bread and butter, pumpkin honey bun cake, peaches, milk. Alternate: Taco salad.

WEDNESDAY — Open-face hot turkey sandwich, mashed potatoes and gravy, caramelized butternut squash, cranberry orange crisp, fresh fruit, milk. Alternate: Fried chicken.

THURSDAY — Applewood smoked bacon barbecue ribs, cheddar ranch scalloped potatoes, broccoli florets, bread and butter, hot cocoa cheesecake, mixed fruit, milk. Alternate: Turkey club casserole.

FRIDAY — Catch of the Day, baked potato with sour cream, cascade blend vegetables, bread and butter, banana walnut brownie, mixed berries, milk. Alternate: Tatertot taco bake.

Meals on Wheels in Truman helps older adults maintain good health and remain living at home, by providing hot, nutritious meals Monday through Friday as well as a friendly visit and safety check for Minnesotans age 60 and older. Meals are served at Blue Earth Senior Center noon Monday through Friday. Milk served each day. Menu is subject to change. Meals are catered by St. Luke’s Lutheran Care Center in Blue Earth. Cost is $3.

THURSDAY — Chicken breast supreme, mashed potatoes with butter, honey-glazed carrots, ice cream, milk.

FRIDAY — Fish (meatballs), ranch potato bake, capri blend vegetables, molded cinnamon applesauce, milk.

Hot Meals on Wheels are available Monday through Saturday for convalescents and persons who cannot purchase and prepare adequate meals. This is a community project and is non-profit and not government funded.
