FAIRMONT — McDonald’s Corporation has announced that Jane Harris is the recipient of the prestigious Global Ray Kroc Award for 2020-2021. Named after the founder Ray Kroc, the Global Ray Kroc Award celebrates the achievements of the top 1 percent of the Restaurant Managers Worldwide. It recognizes those who lead by example through their actions and behaviors, and achieve superior business results. The announcement of all winners was made Nov. 1.

Harris is one of only two winners from Minnesota. She is celebrating her 30th year as a part of a team that has delivered outstanding and amazing results during that time period. Harris started out as a crew person in 1986. She left after graduating from high school to pursue other interests and returned in 1992, as a second assistant manager at the Fairmont location. In 1995, Harris was promoted to first assistant and held that position until 2006, when she was promoted to General Manager of the St. James location.

In 2007, Harris returned to take over the General Managers position in Fairmont. This is the position that she continues to hold today. During her tenure as GM, she has led the organization in sales, guest counts, drive thru sales and growth, OEPE, CTP, cash flow, and most importantly, people development. In fact, Harris has had a direct hand in the development of three GM’s and one supervisor in the organization.

Harris is also a person of strong faith. She has used this to reach out on a regular basis to individuals that are struggling, including her staff, customers, and individuals in the community.

With her award and recognition, Harris will receive an all-expense paid trip for herself and husband, Jason, to Orlando next April to attend McDonald’s World-Wide Convention where she will be recognized at a dinner with McDonald’s top management. She will also receive a plaque that recognizes her achievement, spending money and a check for $2,500. Harris is the fifth General Manager for the Clerc organization to be named as a Ray Kroc Award recipient.
