SENIOR DINING

IN FAIRMONT

Meals are served at Friendship Village 11:30 a.m. Monday through Friday. Milk served each day. Menu is subject to change.

To reserve your meal, call (507) 238-1650 between 9 a.m. and noon the day before.

This project is partially funded through a grant from Region 9 Area Agency on Aging under Title III-C of the Older Americans Act and is sponsored by Lutheran Social Services.

FAIRMONT

MONDAY — Fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, mixed vegetables, bread and butter, twisted strawberry shortcake, peaches and milk. Alternate: Scalloped potatoes and ham.

TUESDAY — Baked penne and sausage, seasoned green beans, garlic knot, chocolate mousse, pears and milk. Alternate: Taco Salad.

WEDNESDAY — Pork Steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, broccoli florets, bread and butter, peaches and cream cobbler, seasonal fresh fruit and milk. Alternate: Honey BBQ chicken.

THURSDAY — Orange glazed chicken, fried rice, oriental vegetables, egg roll, lemon brownie, melon cup and milk. Alternate: Salisbury steak.

FRIDAY — Catch of the day, twice baked potato, carrots, bread and butter, mixed berry pretzel dessert, mandarin oranges and milk. Alternate: Cheeseburger.

LSS MEALS ON WHEELS (in partnership with Heartland Senior Living in Truman)

Meals on Wheels in Truman helps older adults maintain good health and remain living at home, by providing hot, nutritious meals Monday through Friday as well as a friendly visit and safety check for Minnesotans age 60 and older. NOTE: Menu is subject to change due to supplier issues. To sign up for the program or for further information, call Holly at (507) 776-2031.

Meals are served at Blue Earth Senior Center noon Monday through Friday. Milk served each day. Menu is subject to change. Meals are catered by St. Luke’s Lutheran Care Center in Blue Earth. Cost is $3.

MONDAY — California burger, baked beans, potato salad, apricots, milk.

TUESDAY — Creamed chicken over biscuit, green beans with bacon, raspberry mousse, milk.

Hot Meals on Wheels are available Monday through Saturday for convalescents and persons who cannot purchase and prepare adequate meals. This is a community project and is non-profit and not government funded.
