SENIOR DINING

IN FAIRMONT

Meals are served at Friendship Village 11:30 a.m. Monday through Friday. Milk served each day. Menu is subject to change.

To reserve your meal, call (507) 238-1650 between 9 a.m. and noon the day before.

This project is partially funded through a grant from Region 9 Area Agency on Aging under Title III-C of the Older Americans Act and is sponsored by Lutheran Social Services.

FAIRMONT

MONDAY — Bacon-wrapped pork filet, sweet potatoes, seasonal vegetable, bread and butter, pound cake with brown sugar peaches, seasonal fresh fruit, milk. (Alternate: scalloped potatoes and ham).

TUESDAY — Open-face hot beef sandwich, mashed potatoes and gravy, honey-buttered corn, cherry pie crisp, mixed berries, milk. (Alternate: taco salad).

WEDNESDAY — Glazed meatloaf, macaroni and cheese, carrots, bread and butter, key lime bars, peaches, milk. (Alternate: fried chicken).

THURSDAY — Sour cream dill chicken breast, mashed potatoes, steamed asparagus, bread and butter, M&M pretzel cheesecake, seasonal fresh fruit, milk. (Alternate: pork burger).

FRIDAY — Catch of the day, roasted ranch red potatoes, broccoli with cheese sauce, bread and butter, blueberry gelatin dessert, pears, milk. (Alternate: chicken alfredo).

LSS MEALS ON WHEELS (in partnership with Heartland Senior Living in Truman)

Meals on Wheels in Truman helps older adults maintain good health and remain living at home, by providing hot, nutritious meals Monday through Friday as well as a friendly visit and safety check for Minnesotans age 60 and older. NOTE: Menu is subject to change due to supplier issues. To sign up for the program or for further information, call Holly at (507) 776-2031.

IN BLUE EARTH

Meals are served at Blue Earth Senior Center noon Monday through Friday. Milk served each day. Menu is subject to change. Meals are catered by St. Luke’s Lutheran Care Center in Blue Earth. Cost is $3.

MONDAY — Calico bean casserole, baked potato, carrots, mandarin oranges, milk.

TUESDAY — Lasagna, garlic bread, lettuce salad with dressing, strawberry gelatin dessert, milk.

WEDNESDAY — Fettuccine Alfredo, meatballs, peas, pudding with a topping, milk.

THURSDAY — Roast turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, bread dressing, corn, ice cream, milk.

FRIDAY — Seafood salad, assorted crackers, cake, grapes, milk.

ON WHEELS

Hot Meals on Wheels are available Monday through Saturday for convalescents and persons who cannot purchase and prepare adequate meals. This is a community project and is non-profit and not government funded.
