LSS MEALS ON WHEELS (in partnership with Heartland Senior Living in Truman)

Meals on Wheels in Truman helps older adults maintain good health and remain living at home, by providing hot, nutritious meals Monday through Friday as well as a friendly visit and safety check for Minnesotans age 60 and older. MONDAY — Goulash, caramelized butternut squash, bread and butter, blueberries and cream angel dessert, mixed berries, milk.

TUESDAY — Sweet and sour pork, vegetable-fried rice, oriental vegetable blend, egg roll, cookie dough cheesecake, fresh melon cup, milk.

WEDNESDAY — Baked chicken breast, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, bread and butter, sherbet, peaches, milk.

THURSDAY — Beef stroganoff over noodles, asparagus, bread and butter, cherry crisp, pears, milk.

FRIDAY — Catch of the day, herb rice, cauliflower au gratin, bread and butter, cranberry orange cake, mixed berries, milk.

IN BLUE EARTH

Meals are served at Blue Earth Senior Center noon Monday through Friday. Milk served each day. Menu is subject to change. Meals are catered by St. Luke’s Lutheran Care Center in Blue Earth. Cost is $3.

TUESDAY — Glazed ham balls, creamed potatoes, green and gold beans, coconut cream dessert, milk.

WEDNESDAY — Bratwurst on a bun, tater triangles, baked beans, watermelon, milk.

THURSDAY — Orange chicken, loaded mashed potatoes, broccoli, ice cream, milk.

FRIDAY — Lemon pepper tilapia, garden rice, winter blend vegetables, lime delight, milk.

Hot Meals on Wheels are available Monday through Saturday for convalescents and persons who cannot purchase and prepare adequate meals. This is a community project and is non-profit and not government funded.
