GIBBON - The Martin County West football team made it three straight victories after last Friday's 38-0 win over Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop. The Mavericks are now 4-1 on the season, with their lone loss coming against Mayer Lutheran on Sept. 11.
Pierce Rohman collected 141 rushing yards and three touchdowns, averaging nearly 12 yards per touch. Kaedin Lange chipped in 85 yards on 14 carries. Quarterback Maddex Faber threw for 85 yards and a touchdown to wide receiver Preston Cepress, who finished with 64 yards on four catches. Lixon Forsberg had 30 rushing yards and 26 receiving yards.
Martin County West takes on St. James Area this Friday in Trimont. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m.
H-BC: 58, GHEC/T: 0
HILLS - Hills-Beaver Creek got the best of Granada Huntley East Chain/Truman last Friday night, taking the Jaguars down 58-0. GHEC/T moves to 2-3 this fall. Quarterback Bowan Sill led the Jaguars in rushing with 82 yards. Sill threw for an additional 16 yards on three completions. Jonah Moeller finished with 18 rushing yards on nine carries. GHEC/T stays on the road this Friday, traveling to play Adrian-Ellsworth. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m.
Bishop Garrigan: 34, North Union: 28
ALGONA - North Union suffered its first loss of the season to Bishop Garrigan last Friday night, 34-28. Quarterback Greyson Colegrove threw for 158 passing yards and a touchdown. He also added 133 yards and three rushing scores. Carson Crouch ran for 80 yards on 18 carries. Max Heinen led the wide receivers with 50 yards on two catches. Taylin Jones used his four receptions to gather 47 yards and a touchdown.
North Union will take on West Bend-Mallard this Friday at 7:00 p.m. It will be the final home regular-season game for the Warriors.
