FAIRMONT - The Fairmont girls tennis team kept their win streak afloat during Tuesday afternoon's 7-0 victory over Pipestone Area. It's the seventh straight win for the Cardinals, who haven’t lost a match since Sept. 1 against St. James.
Singles
Allison Slama defeated Jasmine Boeke, 6-0, 6-0. Ada Edmundson similarly took down her Pipestone Area opponent, Ireland Draper, 6-0, 6-0. Cadleigh Jobe beat Emma Smidt, 6-1, 6-0, and Regan Olson won over Lauren Steuck, 6-0, 6-0.
Doubles
Emelia Klanderud and Katherine Zeylaya dismantled Aubrey Brockberg and Sophia Baatz, 6-0, 6-0. Carly Gustafson and Addison Toothaker got the upper hand against Anna Austin and Iva Witte, 6-1, 6-2. Malana Nigon and Ellena Laven defeated Elle Brockberg and Malli Erickson, 6-0, 6-0.

REDWOOD VALLEY: 3, FAIRMONT: 1
REDWOOD FALLS - Fairmont volleyball fell to Redwood Valley - 22-25, 23-25, 25-20, 14-25 - during Tuesday night's battle. Jadyn Montgomery had 12 kills, while Kaylee Kloeckner and Lidya Gronewold had 12 and six. Ella Wubbena notched 33 set assists. Layla Weihe had 23 digs. Kynlee Beemer had 13 digs and Wubbena had 11. Fairmont will continue its season this Thursday with a home match against Pipestone Area starting at 7:15 p.m.
PREP BOYS SOCCER
ST. PETER: 2, FAIRMONT: 1
FAIRMONT - The Fairmont boys soccer team dropped to St. Peter 2-1 on Tuesday night at Jeffery Kot Fields. The team moves to 3-7 on the year and has now lost five straight. Nathan Paris scored the Cardinals’ lone goal after collecting an assist from Vaughn Thompson on a throw-in. Brody Deuel recorded nine saves at the net. Fairmont will take on Wings United this Thursday at 7:00 p.m. in Madelia.
