FAIRMONT: 4, WESTONKA: 3
MINNETRISTA - The Fairmont tennis team took three of the four singles matches to fuel Monday's 4-3 victory over Westonka. This victory makes it six straight for the Cardinals, who moved to 13-1 on the season. Fairmont returns to action on Tuesday to face Pipestone Area at 4:30 p.m.
Singles
Allison Slama defeated Maddie Schley, 6-1, 6-1. Emelia Klanderud took down Sofia Lobin, 6-0, 6-1. Westonka's Annika Christoph bested Carly Gustafson, 6-0, 6-1. Ada Edmundson beat Abby Sells, 6-1, 6-4.
Doubles
Katherine Zelaya and Addison Toothaker got the upper hand over Ella Salrati and Ellie Schafer, 6-3, 5-7, 10-2. Westonka's Reagan Van Burican and Addie Bryan defeated Cadleigh Jobe and Ingrid Edman. Westonka's Lily Kiner and Audrey Cardahl took down Melana Nigon and Ellena Laven, 6-3, 4-6, 10-7.

FAIRMONT: 3, MANKATO LOYOLA: 0
MANKATO - The Fairmont Area girls’ soccer team continues to win games. The Cardinals took down Mankato Loyola, 3-0, during Monday afternoon's contest. Fairmont has now won its past five games and hasn't lost since Sept. 1. Mollie Leiding had the only first-half goal on a pass from Lianna Weber. Makenzie Gerhardt and Mataya Weber scored in the second half on passes from Ellie Perkins and Lauren Zarling. Fairmont returns to action on Tuesday with a contest at St. Peter. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m.
