NEW ULM - The Fairmont football team fell 30-0 to New Ulm during Friday night's battle at Eagle Stadium. Eagles quarterback Owen Castleman had two rushing touchdowns near the goal line. Castleman also connected with Jayden Broste for a 32-yard score. Parker Ranweiler was the other New Ulm touchdown recipient after a short run near the end zone. The Eagles forced a safety for their final points in the fourth quarter.
Fairmont is set to face Waseca next Friday night, while New Ulm will take on Albert Lea. Both games will start at 7:00 p.m. the Cardinals will have their home opener on Friday, Sept 25 at Mahoney Field.
