St. Peter breaks Post 36’s winning streak
ST. PETER – Fairmont Junior Legion Post 36 loses its first game since June 20, falling to St. Peter Junior Legion 10-6 on Monday night in St. Peter. The Saints scored four runs in each of the second and fourth innings to power their victory. They used three hits to do so and capitalized on nine Post 36 errors. Preston Geerdes, Louis Grensteiner and Archer Pomerenke each threw two innings. Only three of the staff’s allowed runs were earned. Caden Wickert and Pomerenke had two hits for the Cardinals. Brock Rodning, Geerdes and Troy Peterson each had one. Fairmont struck out 11 times and walked nine.
