FAIRMONT – Adriana Leiding has become the first Fairmont flag football player to earn a spot on the Minnesota High School Girls Flag First All-State Team. The speedy wide receiver led all Minnesota players with a staggering 112 receptions, tallying 851 yards and 12 touchdowns to help power the Cardinals’ offense. Both yard totals and touchdown receptions ranked 6th and 27th in the state. Fairmont finished the season with a 5-5 record, picking up a win in the District 4 playoffs over Lakeville North before falling to New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva in the semifinals. It was the program’s second year of existence.
