North Union baseball levels Broncos
BANCROFT – Six runs in the second and seven more in the fourth helped the North Union baseball team win Wednesday night’s contest against Belmond-Klemme 14-0 at Bancroft Memorial Park. Max Merrill led the Warriors with three hits that churned three RBIs. Casey Rezac, Cole Nicoson, and Dyson Wikert each had two hits. North Union finished the contest with 10 hits as a team. Wikert pitched all five innings in the mercy rule victory. The junior allowed two hits and struck out eight batters.
North Union travels to Bishop Garrigan on Friday night for its third-to-last contest of the regular season. First pitch is set for 7:30 p.m.
