NICOLETT 12, GHEC/T/ML 7

TRUMAN – Six runs in the seventh inning pushed Nicollet softball past Granada Huntley East Chain/Truman/Martin Luther, 12-7, during Tuesday night’s contest in Truman.

Peyton Stohs threw a complete game for the Jaguars, giving up five earned runs and striking out seven batters. Laticianna Rosales Wegner, Samantha Urban and Kyana Thomas each notched the only hits for GHEC/T/ML. Chloe Nestegard had two RBIs while Maeson Olson and Wegner had the others.

MCW 7, HLOF 1

WELCOME – Noah Meixell and Liam Pytleski combine for a no-hitter during Martin County West’s 7-1 victory over Heron Lake-Okabena Fulda on Tuesday afternoon at the Fox Lake Area Sports Complex.

Meixell tossed six frames with one unearned run, fanning 13 batters in the process. Pytleski came in the final inning and struck out all three batters. Five different Maverick batters recorded a hit, with Meixell and Kade Fennern notching two RBIs. Easton Kuehl had an RBI of his own with his lone hit. MCW drew four walks as a team.
