ADRIAN – Adrian Area baseball used nine and 10-run innings to fuel their 21-5 victory over Martin County West on Thursday night. The Dragons did much of their work in the second and third innings, tallying 19 runs on eight hits.

The Mavericks got out to an early lead in the first frame after Liam Pytleski slashed a two-run single to center field. Noah Meixell finished the inning off by scoring on a passed ball.

MCW tallied two additional runs in the fifth on a walk and another passed ball.

The Mavericks (0-1) will host Heron Lake-Okabena next Tuesday at the Fox Lake Area Sports Complex.
