MCW 72, Loyola Catholic 40

SHERBURN – Maddie Carlson scored a team high 18 points to help push Martin County West past Loyola Catholic 72-40 on Thursday night at the Martin County West High School. The Mavericks are now 10-7 on the season.

Carlson’s 18 point performance came off nine made field goals. However, she wasn’t alone. Ivy Olson had 16 points of her own, while Ida Rohman cashed in 11.

MCW (10-7) will play Mountain Lake next Monday starting at 7 p.m.

BOYS BASKETBALL

New Ulm Cathedral 71, GHEC/T/ML 56

NORTHROP – The Granada Huntley East Chain/Truman/Martin Luther boys basketball team fell to New Ulm Cathedral on Thursday night, 71-56.

Eli Jensen had 15 points, two assists and two steals. Ethan Jaskulke notched 14 points to go with his seven rebounds. Griffin Studer had 10 points on five made field goals.

The Jaguars (4-10) will play Madelia next Monday at 7 p.m.
