Fairmont 67, Redwood Valley 57
REDWOOD FALLS – The Fairmont boys basketball team extended its winning streak to three games after its 67-57 victory over Redwood Valley this past Saturday at Redwood Valley High School.
It was a balanced scoring effort for the Cardinals, with four players notching over eight points. Logan Junkermeier led all of Fairmont with 18 points and nine rebounds. Kellen Fritz went perfect from beyond the arch to charge an 11 point effort. Joe Long and Reed Johnson combined for 17 points and seven field goals. Tavian Harvey collected five steals and five points.
Fairmont (8-2) will continue its season on Tuesday, traveling to SJA Event Center to take on St. James Area at 7:30 p.m.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
MCW 49, Sleepy Eye 46
SLEEPY EYE – The Martin County West girls basketball team knocked off Sleepy Eye 49-46 on Monday night.
Maddie Carlson notched 17 points and 12 rebounds. Emily Schettler had 12 points, six rebounds, four assists and three steals. Courtney Anderson recorded nine points, four assists and four steals.
The Mavericks (6-5) will continue their season this Thursday against Fairmont starting at 7 p.m.
