NICOLLET – Granada Huntley East Chain/Truman/Martin Luther volleyball defeated Nicollet on Thursday night, winning 25-23, 25-17, and 25-23 for the Jaguars’ 11th win of the season.

Londyn Bowers fueled the team with a team high in both kills and digs, earning 15 apiece. Keira Benck had a Jaguar high 24 assists while securing 14 digs of her own and going 12 for 14 with serves.

GHEC/T/ML (11-7) continues the season this Saturday with a tournament in Nicollet with seven other teams in the field.

Cleveland 3, MCW 0

TRIMONT – The Martin County West Mavericks fell to Cleveland 25-20 25-11, 25-21 in a home Conference matchup.

Emily Schettler led in assists with 18, while Maddie Carlson topped the Mavericks with 7 digs. Rowan Faber, Jaylee Hanson, and Gianna Chase tied for most kills with 5. Faber also had an ace.

The Mavericks (9-6) have their next match Thursday, Oct. 2 against Nicollet at the MCW Junior High Trimont Gym at 7 p.m.
