GRANADA – Granada Huntley East Chain/Truman/Martin Luther fell to Cleveland on Thursday night in a five-set bout: 25-22, 21-25, 16-25, 25-21, 12-15.

Londyn Bowers led all Jaguars with 23 kills, picking up 25 digs in the process.

Willow Singleton had 29 digs of her own and four set assists.

Keira Benck had 32 set assists while going 17 for 19 on serves with one ace.

GHEC/T/ML continues the season on Monday against Blue Earth Area High School. Action is supposed to start at 7 p.m.

ALDEN – Martin County West volleyball fell to Alden-Conger in straight sets-20-25, 20-25, 16-25-on Thursday night.

Emily Schettler led the Mavericks with 22 set assists.

Maddie Carlson tallied a team-leading 14 digs and nine kills.

Brynlee Haukoos had 12 digs of her own.

The Mavericks continue the season next Thursday against Loyola Catholic School. The match is scheduled to start at 7 p.m.

BEA 4, Fairmont 3

BLUE EARTH – Fairmont High School girls’ tennis falls to Blue Earth Area 4-3 on Thursday evening in Blue Earth. While both teams split the four singles matches with each other, it was Blue Earth coming on top in the doubles results to earn the win.

Blue Earth’s Grace Hanson defeated Fairmont’s Emelia Klanderud, 7-6(2), 7-6(5).

Alison Slama from Fairmont topped Addison Prescher, 6-4, 7-5.

Fairmont’s Ella Wubbena bested Abigail Greff, 6-1, 6-1.

Blue Earth’s Abbey Lorenz took down Carly Gustafson, 6-0, 6-1.

Grace Schavey and Carol Schrader from Blue Earth defeated Madisyn Peyman and Katherine Zelaya, 5-7, 6-4, 7-5.

Blue Earth’s Erin Prescher and Brooklyn Rosenau bested Belinda Lutterman and Cadleigh Jobe from Fairmont, 6-2, 6-0.

Fairmont’s Addison Toothaker and Ada Edmundson took down McKinley Hanson and Katelyn Storbeck, 6-4, 0-6, 7-6 (2).
