FAIRMONT – Over 40 athletes participated in the 46th annual Fairmont Summer Run on Saturday.

The event was hosted by Fairmont High School at the Bob Bonk Track located on campus. Four different race options were presented for athletes of all ages: 5-mile, 2-mile, ½-mile, and ¼-mile.

Kicking off the morning was the 5-mile race at 8:30 a.m. Times for the ladder three races start at 9:30 a.m., 10 a.m., and 10:05 a.m., respectively.

Kieran Roedel took home the longest race of the event with a 28:43.9 time. Andrew Moeller was the next champion at the 2-mile competition, securing the win with a 10:30.2 time.

Finishing the morning were the two shorter races.

Winning the ½-mile sprint was Carson Clayton with a time of 3:38.7. Henry Hartung was the final winner of the event, taking home the top spot in the ¼-mile competition with a time of 1:21.3.
