MCW 67, MADELIA 28

TRIMONT – The Martin County West Mavericks cruised by Madelia Monday night securing a 67-28 victory in a Tomahawk Valley Conference, Valley Division girls basketball game.

Leading the Mavericks was Emily Anderson with 22 points and eight rebounds, while Maddie Carlson had 12 points and seven rebounds. Courtney Anderson had 7 points and four rebounds, while Ida Rohman had 7 points and two steals.

The Mavericks now 18-4 overall and 11-0 in conference play will host the Blue Earth Area Buccaneers for a 7 p.m. game on Tuesday.

BISHOP GARRIGAN 72, NORTH UNION 69

ARMSTRONG, IA – The North Union Warriors fell to Bishop Garrigan on Friday 72-69 in a Top of Iowa Conference girls basketball game.

Leading the Warriors was Ainsley Ulrich with 24 points and five rebounds, while Maisey Bierstedt had 24 points and six rebounds. Shallie Walders had 13 points and three steals, while Alexis Cummins had 5 points and three rebounds.

Now 12-7 overall and 9-4 in conference play the Warriors will host Eagle Grove for a 6:15 p.m. game on Tuesday.

HERON LAKE-OKABENA/FULDA 79, GHEC/T/ML 75

OKABENA – The Granada-Huntley East Chain/Truman/Martin Luther Jaguars fell to Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda in overtime 79-75 Monday night in a nonconference boys basketball game.

Leading the Jaguars was Jackson Madsen with 29 points and seven rebounds, while Eli Jensen had 17 points, four rebounds, and three assists. Broday Grathwohl had 9 points and four assists, while Bryce Borkenhagen had 6 points, 12 rebounds, five steals, and five assists. Carson Hastad had 7 points, eight rebounds, and five assists, while Griffin Studer had 6 points.

Now 8-10 the Jaguars head to Loyola for a 7 p.m. game on Tuesday.

BISHOP GARRIGAN 54, NORTH UNION 42

ARMSTRONG, IA – The North Union Warriors were defeated by Bishop Garrigan 54-42 Friday night in a Top of Iowa Conference boys basketball game.

Leading the Warriors was Khael Jones with 15 points and six rebounds, while Greyson Colegrove had 9 points and four steals. Caden Walders had 6 points, while Lane Bruhn had 5 points and four rebounds.

Now 7-11 overall and 5-8 in conference play The Warriors will host Eagle Grove for a 7:45 p.m. game on Tuesday.
