WINTHROP -- Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop rallied for a 17-25, 25-22, 25-18, 14-25, 15-13 victory over Martin County West during volleyball action Monday.
Lucy Larson smacked 12 kills to top MCW, while Grace Bicknase and Aspen Kosbab contributed nine and seven kills, respectively.
Emily Anderson and Bella Lange chipped in five kills apiece for the Mavericks, Anderson and Bicknase each distributed 17 set assists, while Liv Borchardt notched four blocks.
Marah Steele paced the defense by scooping up 22 opposing spikes, while Larson and Anderson contributed 19 digs apiece. Kosbab supplied 14 digs, Emma Omvig tallied 13 more and Bicknase added eight.
MCW (4-2) travels to Madelia tonight.
