FAIRMONT -- The Fairmont 16/18U girls softball team split a doubleheader with Jackson on Tuesday night.
Jackson edged Fairmont in the opener, 3-2, before Fairmont rallied for an 8-1 victory in Game 2.
Nevaeh Rahm doubled home a run, Abi Sundeen belted a double, while Mandy Pytleski produced one RBI to top Fairmont in Game 1.
Emma Gudahl and Anna Ehlert each netted a hit and one run, while Allison Janssen, Jaya Johnson and Thea Anderson supplied one hit each.
Pytleski allowed three runs on six hits and fanned two in three innings pitched to absorb the opening loss.
Ilana Moeller went 2-for-2 with a game-best four RBIs to power Fairmont to a seven-run win in the nightcap.
Janssen singled and scored two runs, while Gudahl walked twice, scored twice and collected one RBI.
Janssen allowed one run on no hits, struck out three and walked three in three innings for the win.
