ELMORE — Jacob Harris produced a meet-medalist 18-hole round of 74 to power the Fairmont Cardinals to a 16-stroke margin of victory over St. Peter during Monday’s Big South Conference East Division Event boys golf meet at Minn-Iowa Golf Course.

Harris heated up the Elmore-based course by sinking three birdies — on Nos. 1, 8 and 10 — to complement 10 pars to highlight his first-place 2-over-par total of 38-36 for Fairmont.

Mathew Cone, Alexander Moeller and Brock Lutterman each delivered top-seven individual performances to pack scoring punch to Harris’ winning effort for the Cardinals’ first-place showing of 309.

Cone tied for runner-up medalist accolades by carding a 38-37-75, highlighted by a birdie on No. 10. Cone also made a co-team-best 13 pars during his low-scoring performance.

Moeller earned a share of fourth place overall by penciling in a round of 37-41-78. Moeller delivered a co-team-leading baker’s dozen pars, including eight on the front nine.

Lutterman pocketed seventh overall by netting Fairmont’s fourth counting mark with back-to-back 41s for a round of 82. Lutterman dropped home 10 pars to pace his low score.

Hartley Aust birdied No. 13 and chipped in two pars to pace a 46-42-88 for Fairmont, while Blake Hilgendorf tallied four pars en route to a 50-46-96.

Ashton Lloyd tied Moeller for fourth place overall by generating a 37-41-78 to steer Blue Earth Area to a third-place team total of 339. Lloyd made birdie on No. 13 to complement a team-best 11 pars, including eight on the front nine.

Kyren Sunken shot a 44-41-85 for the Bucs, Jackson Blondin supplied a 41-46-87, while Eli Blagg contributed a 44-45-89 to complete the host team’s counting totals. Sunken birdied the 16th hole and added five pars, Blondin went 1-under on No. 7 to go with five pars, while Blagg supplied two pars.

Gordy Bruellman had four pars en route to a 49-43-92 for BEA, while Nathan Murphy added a 46-47-93, including a pair of pars.

In the girls’ divisional event at Shoreland Country Club in St. Peter on Monday, Solveig Senf and Anika Haugen tied for runner-up medalist honors to drive the Fairmont Cardinals to a winning total of 364 — 15 shots better than host and runner-up St. Peter (379).

Senf connected for five pars to pace her 18-hole round of 44-45-89, while Haugen stayed even on four holes to top a 48-41-89 performance for the Cardinals.

Maggy Totzke and Brynn Gustafson each produced top-seven showings to round out Fairmont’s counting totals on the day. Totzke captured fourth place overall with a 44-47-91, including three pars, while Gustafson tied for seventh place individually by carding a 46-49-95, highlighted by three pars.

Lauren Davis and Leslie Zarling completed the Cardinals’ effort by shooting a 51-51-102 and a 54-54-108, respectively. Davis made one par.

Payten Gudahl tied for fifth place overall by shooting a 48-45-93 to guide BEA to third place at 403. Gudahl birdied the 17th hole to complement one par.

Katelyn Storbeck, Rylan Storbeck and Kylie Rosenau completed the Bucs’ counting scores on the day. Katelyn Storbeck fired a 55-47-102 with two pars, Rylan Storbeck tallied a 52-52-104, while Rosenau chipped in three pars en route to a 52-52-104.

Madison Ehrich and Liz Beeler completed BEA’s effort with a 106 and a 111, respectively, with Beeler sinking one par.

The Fairmont and Blue Earth Area boys golfers tee off at Shoreland Country Club in St. Peter at 2 p.m. today for an eight-team regular-season invitational, while the Fairmont and Blue Earth Area girls team compete in another Big South East Divisional Event at 4 p.m. today at Rose Lake Golf Course in Fairmont.
