BLUE EARTH -- Ashton Lloyd erupted for yet another double-double performance to power the Blue Earth Area Bucs to a 63-51 triumph over the Jackson County Central Huskies during Big South Conference basketball action Saturday in Blue Earth.
Lloyd blistered the nylon nets on 9-for-12 field-goal shooting, including a 4-for-5 effort from behind the 3-point arc, to generate a game-leading 26 points. Lloyd also cleaned the glass for a game-best 11 rebounds to complete his double-double.
Austin Skaden and Gabriel Torres each scored 12 points for Blue Earth Area, while teammate Luke Norman contributed seven points to the winning cause. Luke Norman also garnered eight boards, while Skaden distributed three assists.
Lloyd and Luke Norman powered the Bucs to a 32-24 rebounding advantage on the game.
The Bucs connected on 23 of 48 field goals overall for 47 percent, including an 8-for-15 performance from 3-point range for 53 percent.
Travis Rogotzke and Roman Voss each tallied 15 points to pace the Huskies' effort, while Erik Hesebeck and Christian Benda each tossed in eight points.
The Huskies hit 19 of 47 field goals for 40 percent, including 8 of 19 behind the arc for 42 percent.
Blue Earth Area (10-11) travels to Medford for a nonconference game on Thursday, while Jackson County Central (10-15) hits the road to New Ulm on Thursday night for another league contest.
