LUVERNE — Ella Reisdorfer proved a perfect 4-for-4 in the individual events to pace her first-place all-around total of 35.45 to guide Luverne to a 131.625-127.375 victory over the Martin County Area Magic during Big South Conference gymnastics action Monday night.

Reisdorfer fended off teammate Amira Cowell to capture the vault 9.15-9.025, outdistanced MCA’s Ellie Schultze for top honors on the uneven parallel bars 8.45-8.025, coasted by Cowell to net first on the balance beam 9.075-8.4, and staved off teammate Kianna Winter for the floor exercise 8.775-8.55.

Ellie Hernes claimed third place in the all-around competition with a score of 31.375 to top the Magic during their final regular-season dual.

Anna Bachenberg generated a pair of top-three finishes for MCA. Bachenberg earned an 8.45 on the judges’ scorecards on the floor exercise, while claiming her other bronze medal with an 8.35 on balance beam.

Hernes topped the Magic on the vault with an 8.55, followed by Abi Chavez (8.425), Jadyn Montgomery (8.2) and Mollie Leiding (7.9).

Montgomery placed second to Schultze’s runner-up mark of 8.025 on the unevens for MCA with a 7.375, while Hernes (7.225) and Hailee Schuett (7.15) rounded out the counting scores.

Anna Utermarck (8.2), Schultze (7.975) and Schuett (7.625) followed Bachenberg in the Magic’s team scoring on the beam, while Ava Thate (8.05), Hernes (8.05) and Leiding (7.825) followed Bachenberg on the floor to cap the visitors’ counting marks.

Sarah de Cesare produced 31.725 points to earn runner-up honors in the all-around for Luverne.

Martin County Area (5-6) competes in the Section 2A Meet on Thursday, Feb. 10, in St. James.
