GARNER, Iowa — North Union senior Halle Rezac and her teammates just keep rewriting the Warriors’ girls golf program’s record books.

Rezac penciled in an 18-hole round of 84 to capture runner-up meet medalist honors during Monday’s Top of Iowa Conference West Division girls golf tournament at Garner Golf and Country Club.

Rezac’s school-record total, along with top-10 scores from teammates and fellow all-conference golfers Jordyn Cummins and Olivia Von Bank, powered North Union to a second-place team mark of 360 in Garner, Iowa.

North Union eclipsed its previous school-record 18-hole team total with Monday’s score of 360, while Rezac was voted as the Player of the Year for her low-scoring ways.

Junior Annie Burns fired a round of 83 to squeeze by Rezac for West Division individual medalist accolades in steering Bishop Garrigan to the team championship with a 349.

Senior Anna Berke carded a third-place total of 85, while junior Ava Eisenbarth finished fifth with an 88 to help pack scoring punch to Burns’ winning ways for the Golden Bears.

Cummins netted fourth place overall by penciling in an 18-hole mark of 86 to earn all-league honors for North Union, while Olivia Von Bank also merited postseason honors by shooting a 94 to pocket 10th place overall.

Vanessa Von Bank delivered the Warriors’ fourth counting score by shooting a 96 to finish two strokes behind her sibling in collecting 11th place individually.

Freshman Amelia Fothergill finished only three shots off Vanessa Von Bank’s performance with a 99 to claim 12th place overall for North Union. Senior Carys Fuller rounded out the Warriors’ low-scoring ways by placing 19th individually in carding a round of 115.

The North Union girls golf team competes in an Iowa Regional first-round tournament at Rice Lake Golf & Country Club in Lake Mills, Iowa, starting at 10 a.m. Monday, May 17.
