Car Parts Direct 12U girls hockey team pockets pair of wins

FAIRMONT — The Car Parts Direct 12U girls hockey team netted a pair of wins during the last two Saturdays in February.

Maia Goerndt, Jo Meyer and Harper Artz each scored two goals to steer Fairmont to a 7-1 decision over Windom on Feb. 20 at Martin County Arena.

Madison Sokoloski contributed one goal to Car Parts Direct’s winning ways, while Artz, Bella Newville, Brooklyn Murphy and Jadyn Musser had one assist apiece.

Fairmont goalie Lexi Sundeen made five saves to net the win.

Newville tallied two goals and one assist, while Goerndt delivered a pair of goals to pace Car Parts Direct’s 7-0 shutout of Windom last Saturday in Windom.

Musser, Addison Folkerts and Frankie Martin each notched goals, while Meyer doled out two helpers for Fairmont. Murphy and Sokoloski chipped in one assist each, while Sundeen made two stops for the shutout.

The Fairmont 10U girls hockey lineup posted back-to-back victories last weekend.

Avery Kurt collected one goal and one assist, while netminder Nola Hazard turned away six shots for the shutout during Fairmont’s 3-1 triumph over Worthington last Saturday at Martin County Arena.

Lauren Bettin and Halyn Haycraft contributed one goal apiece for Fairmont, which unleashed 31 shots on net.

Bettin produced one goal and one helper to help guide Fairmont to a 3-2 decision over Marshall last Sunday in Marshall.

Alexis Haycraft and Evelyn Folkerts chipped in one goal each, while Halyn Haycraft doled out one assist. Hazard turned away eight opposing shots to net the win for Fairmont.

The REMAX Bantam ‘B’ hockey team battled to a 4-all tie with Marshall last Sunday at Martin County Arena in Fairmont.

Jace Teveldal generated two goals, while Barret Scholl and Jace Prindle contributed one goal apiece to the deadlock.

Tyson Pankow, Mathew Cone and Tyler Kurt each doled out an assist, while goalie Isaiah Lockwood notched 37 saves for REMAX.

The Fairmont Squirt ‘B’ hockey team produced a tie and a loss during last weekend’s ice action.

Ryder Thate collected two goals and one assist to help Fairmont salvage a 5-all tie against Worthington last Saturday in Fairmont.

Kaleb Kennedy, Kane Wohlhuter and Bennett Draper each supplied one goal for Fairmont, while Hogan Artz dished out an assist.

Wohlhuter tallied a hat trick and one assist, while Draper chipped in one score and a helper during Fairmont’s 7-4 loss to Marshall White last Sunday in Marshall.
