10U girls hockey coasts to 11-1 rout

FAIRMONT — The Fairmont Cardinal 10U girls hockey team coasted to an 11-1 triumph over New Ulm/Sleepy Eye last Saturday at Martin County Arena.

Kylie Flanagan produced a game-best hat trick and distributed one assist to top Fairmont’s winning ways.

Lauren Bettin and Maya Earhart delivered two goals apiece to the Cardinals’ high-octane performance, while teammates Kennedy Murphy, Taylor Truesdell, Halyn Haycraft and Kynlee Beemer chipped in one goal each. Bettin also added a helper.

Goaltender Nola Hazard earned the win between the pipes by making three saves for Fairmont, which tallied 23 shots on goal.

The Fairmont 10U girls hockey team (8-3) plays host to Worthington at 11 a.m. Saturday at Martin County Arena in Fairmont. The Cardinals then hit the road to Marshall on Sunday for a 12:30 p.m. game.

The REMAX Bantam hockey team netted a split decision during ice action last weekend.

Jace Teveldal erupted for a game-best four goals to help power the Fairmont-based lineup to a 5-1 win over Marshall on Sunday in Marshall.

Jace Prindle contributed one goal, Tyson Pankow doled out two assists, while Mathew Cone dished out one helper in REMAX’s win.

Fairmont goalie Isaiah Lockwood netted 21 saves to claim the win.

Windom posted a 4-1 victory over REMAX last Saturday in Windom.

Barret Scholl accounted for Fairmont’s only goal off an assist from Cone.

Iliana Moeller made 28 saves for REMAX, which plays host to Marshall at 4 p.m. Sunday at Martin County Arena in Fairmont.

Ryder Thate delivered a hat trick to help the Fairmont Squirts earn a 3-all tie with New Ulm/Sleepy Eye last Saturday.

Kane Wohlhuter delivered an assist on Thate’s second goal.

The Fairmont Squirts play host to Worthington at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Martin County Arena in Fairmont before traveling to Marshall on Sunday for games at 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
