ST. PETER — Nine victories in a row and counting.

The Blue Earth Area Bucs girls tennis lineup swept the singles bracket to pace a 6-1 victory over the St. Peter Saints during Big South Conference East Division action Monday in St. Peter.

Arika Howard and Addison Armstrong helped jumpstart the Bucs’ early lead on the team ledger by collecting straight-set wins at Nos. 3 and 4 singles, respectively. Howard dispatched Macy Weller in back-to-back 6-1 sets, while Armstrong coasted to a 6-1, 6-2 triumph over Molly Voeltz.

Te’a Armstrong needed a first-set tiebreaker to complete her straight-set win over Amelia Hildebrandt during first singles action. Armstrong fended off Hildebrandt in the opening-set tiebreaker, 7-6 (7-5), before netting a 6-2 second-set decision.

Marissa Benz required three sets to complete the Bucs’ sweep in the singles division. Annika Southworth captured a first-set tiebreaker, 7-6 (7-4) before Benz rallied for a 6-4 second-set win. Benz pocketed the match at No. 2 singles by claiming a 6-2 third-set victory.

Cali Beyer and Olivia Dutton produced the only straight-set victory in the doubles bracket for Blue Earth Area. Beyer and Dutton combined to assemble a 6-3, 6-1 winning decision over Rhyan Holmgren and Maddie Kamm at the No. 3 position.

The Bucs’ McKenna Dutton and Kylie Rosenau needed three sets, but exited the courts victorious behind a 3-6, 6-2, 6-4 decision over Lizzy Orth and Emily Salfer at the No. 1 spot in the lineup.

Josie Wiebusch and Jayna Matejka generated the Saints’ only team tally on the dual meet by outlasting the Bucs’ Britt Howard and Lyndsey Borris at the No. 2 spot in the bracket. Howard and Borris collected a 6-3 opening-set triumph before Wiebusch and Matejka answered with set wins of 6-2 and 7-6 (7-4).

Blue Earth Area (9-0) plays host to River Valley at 4:30 p.m. Thursday at Hal Schroeder Courts in Blue Earth.
