NEW ULM — The Class AA No. 2-ranked Martin County Red Bulls collected six pins and four forfeits to build a 70-6 wrestling win over New Ulm Area on Thursday night in New Ulm.

Cooper Steuber started the Red Bulls’ run of 13 consecutive victories with an 8-6 decision over Parker Kamm at 106 pounds, then No. 9-ranked 113-pounder Kain Sanders claimed the Red Bulls’ first forfeit win.

The Red Bulls’ No. 3-ranked 120-pounder Lucas Jagodzinske earned a 7-0 decision over Carter Brandes before No. 2-ranked 126-pounder Jaxson Rohman started a run of Red Bull pins when he shoved Marqavion Haefner’s shoulders to the mat after only 8 seconds.

Martin County’s Blake Jagodzinske earned a slap of the mat in 4:54 against 132-pound opponent Jackson Bode and No. 2-ranked 138-pounder Connor Simmonds pushed Brayden Gibson’s shoulders down at the 1:11 mark.

The Red Bulls’ Cale Stebuer (145), Joseph Forsberg (152) and No. 2-ranked 152-pounder Payton Anderson (160) each claimed forfeit wins.

Martin County’s No. 2-ranked 160-pounder Miles Fitzgerald moved up a weight to take a 17-4 major decision over the Eagles’ No. 10-ranked 170-pounder Cole Ranweiler at 170 pounds, then the Red Bulls’ No. 5-ranked 170-pounder Nathan Simmonds needed only 23 seconds to pin 182-pound opponent John Mehlhop.

Max Olson earned the Red Bulls six more points with a pin of Caleb Arndt at 195 pounds, then Martin County’s No. 5-ranked 195-pounder Jacob Rahn earned a slap of the mat in 2:19 against 220-pounder Julian Hernandez.

NUA’s Colby Wenninger earned the Eagles their only points of the matchup with a pin of Everardo Hernandez in 22 seconds at heavyweight.

The Red Bulls (9-0) go to Kasson for the Kasson-Mantorville Invite starting at 9 a.m. Saturday.
