NORTHROP — The Martin Luther/Granada-Huntley-East Chain/Truman Jaguars and the Martin County West Mavericks open the Section 2A volleyball playoffs at home, while the Fairmont Cardinals and the Blue Earth Area Bucs hit the road in Section 2AA postseason action.

The No. 6-seeded Jaguars play host to No. 11-seeded Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial in a 7 p.m. Section 2A, South Sub-Section play-in match at Martin Luther High School in Northrop.

The winner between the Jaguars and Knights advances to a 7 p.m. sub-section quarterfinal against No. 3-seeded Alden-Conger on Thursday, Oct. 24.

The No. 8-seeded Mavericks play host to No. 9-seeded Mankato Loyola in a 7 p.m. play-in clash Monday in Trimont.

The winner between MCW and Loyola qualifies for a 7 p.m. sub-section quarterfinal against No. 1-seeded Waterville-Elysian- Morristown on Thursday, Oct. 24, in Waterville.

In Section 2AA, South Sub-Section volleyball action, the No. 7-seeded Fairmont Cardinals travel to Le Sueur on Thursday, Oct. 24, for a 7 p.m. quarterfinal clash against the No. 2-seeded Le Sueur-Henderson Giants.

The winner between Fairmont and Le Sueur-Henderson qualifies for a 7:30 p.m. sub-section semifinal against either the No. 3-seeded Waseca Bluejays or the No. 6-seeded Sibley East Wolverines at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29, at Mankato East High School in Mankato.

The No. 8-seeded Blue Earth Area Bucs open South Sub-Section quarterfinal action against the top-seeded St. Peter Saints at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, in St. Peter.

The winner between Blue Earth Area and St. Peter advances to play either No. 4-seeded Tri-City United or No. 5-seeded Maple River in a 6 p.m. sub-section semifinal Tuesday, Oct. 29, at Mankato East High School in Mankato.
