U15 girls soccer team wins 3 of 4 contests

FAIRMONT — The Associate Optometry U15 girls soccer team of Fairmont netted wins in three out of its last four games during recent Fairmont Soccer Association spring/summer traveling league action.

Anna Utermarck generated a pair of goals and one assist to help Fairmont squeeze out a 3-2 victory over Austin on June 13 in Austin.

Kate Busche delivered one goal for Associate Optometry, while Anna Busche and Cayla Phinney-Colby distributed one helper apiece.

Abby Cihoski and Hannah Bergt equally combined for 10 saves between the pipes for Fairmont.

Utermarck also produced two goals, while Emma Scheppmann distributed three assists to power Fairmont to a 5-1 triumph over Owatonna on June 4 in Owatonna.

Alexis Hinz, Alexis Rojo and Phinney-Colby each chipped in a goal, while Kate Busche, Gracie Boerner and Selma Bleess each doled out an assist.

Cihoski and Bergt combined for seven stops between the posts for Associate Optometry.

Cihoski and Bergt then combined for four saves to share a shutout as Fairmont zipped Austin 4-0 on June 3 in Austin.

Phinney-Colby drilled home a pair of goals for Associate Optometry, while Kate Busche and Scheppmann each supplied one goal.

Utermarck dished out two assists in the winning performance, while Alexis Rojo doled out a solo helper.

St. Peter squeezed by Fairmont, 3-2, during a game on Tuesday in St. Peter.

Alysen Lindquist and Phinney-Colby each tallied goals, while Scheppmann passed out an assist for Associate Optometry. Cihoski and Bergt combined netminding skills for six stops.

U12 Girls Division

St. Peter 5, Hefty Seed 3 — The Saints outpointed Fairmont in a high-scoring contest on June 13 in St. Peter.

Adelyn Hoye netted two goals to top Hefty Seed’s performance, Mychaella Dunker chipped in a goal, while Madison Carlson dished out an assist.

Elsa Thompson and Grace Terry combined for six saves for Fairmont.

U11 Girls Division

Owatonna 8, Madsen Land Surveying 0 — The Huskies shut out Fairmont during action June 11 in Owatonna.

Ida Rohman and Meghan Madsen combined for five saves between the pipes for Madsen Land Surveying.

Madsen Land Surveying 5, Northfield 4 — Maia Goerndt produced a hat trick to power Fairmont to a one-goal victory over Northfield on June 10 in Northfield.

Bel Lutterman and Abbie Simpson each supplied one goal and one assist to the winning performance, while Morgan Martinson distributed two assists.

Ida Rohman and Meghan Madsen combined to turn away seven shots for Madsen Land Surveying.

U18 Boys Division

Bank Midwest 4, Mankato 3 — Kaleb Hoye netted a pair of goals to steer Fairmont to a one-goal decision over Mankato on June 12 in Mankato.

Calvin Guritz and Josh Bergt each chipped in one goal apiece for Bank Midwest, while netminder Alex Wannarka made six saves for the win.

Worthington 3, Bank Midwest 1 — Worthington posted a two-goal triumph over Fairmont during action June 10 at Kot Soccer Complex in Fairmont.

Kaleb Hoye accounted for Fairmont’s lone goal, while Bryant Armitage and Alex Wannarka equally combined for six stops between the pipes.

U14 Boys Division

St. Peter 4, Lawn Solutions 3 — St. Peter squeezed by Fairmont, 4-3, during action Tuesday in St. Peter.

Isaiah Lebbi notched one goal and one assist for Lawn Solutions, Wyatt Luhmann tallied a goal, while St. Peter surrendered an own goal.

Jorvik Jensen made nine saves between the pipes for Fairmont.

Marshall 4, Lawn Solutions 3 — The Tigers scratched out a one-goal victory over Fairmont on Monday in Marshall.

Brock Lutterman, Adrian Sanchez and Isaiah Lebbi found the back of Marshall’s net one time each for Lawn Solutions.

Jorvik Jensen and Ethan Pockrus combined for a dozen saves between the posts for Fairmont.

Lawn Solutions 6, St. Peter 0 — Isaiah Lebbi amassed three goals and three assists to engineer Fairmont’s 6-0 rout over St. Peter on June 4 in St. Peter.

Jack Sadusky, Aaron Graplar and Dillon Pluim each kicked home goals for Lawn Solutions, while Aiden Nelson distributed one assist.

Wyatt Luhmann chalked up eight saves in the winning performance by Fairmont.
