Bocock, Seifried top Fairmont Area clay shooters

FAIRMONT — Jacob Bocock continued his eagle-eyed shooting ways by sharing top individual honors with teammate Max Seifried during Fairmont Area’s fifth and final week of the clay target regular season.

Bocock and Seifried each opened with a perfect 25 of 25 round before breaking 24 of the next 25 to amass 49 of 50 on the competition.

Tucker Bahr and Jackson Francis each placed one spot back in the team standings with a pair of 48s. Bahr produced back-to-back rounds of 24, while Francis broke 23 during the opening round before closing with a perfect 25.

Jedidiah Fowler, Colby Grotte and Andrew Moeller each penciled in 47s for Fairmont Area. Fowler and Moeller each connected for 23-24s, while Grotte flip-flopped the rounds for his total.

Kean Hicks, Tucker Mosloski, Tanner Rosch and Noah Wedel each hit 45 targets to round out Fairmont Area’s top 11 shooters on the week.

Qualifying for the state meet is on the horizon for the Fairmont Area clay target team, in addition to competing in the conference competition.
