WASECA — Bryanna Peterson, Sabrina Segar and Maiya Dietz combined to garner three of the top four all-around spots to power the Martin County Area Magic to a 133.15-129.7 victory over the Waseca Bluejays during East Division gymnastics action in the Big South Conference on Thursday night in Waseca.

Peterson captured the uneven parallel bars (9.25) and floor exercise (9.4) to highlight her winning all-around total of 35.65 points. Peterson also tied for second place on the vault with Waseca’s Shelby Wolff and Madison Reyes with 8.65s, while netting runner-up honors to Dietz on the balance beam by generating an 8.4.

Dietz, who earned fourth place in the all-around competition with a score of 31.725, executed her balance beam routine to merit a first-place total of 8.45 on the judges’ scorecards during the dual meet.

Segar, who garnered third place in the all-around with a total of 32.3, pocketed fourth place on the floor (8.65) and balance beam (8.25) to highlight her four-event performance for Martin County Area.

Andrea Thate returned from the injured reserve list to capture runner-up honors on the uneven parallel bars with an 8.25 for the Magic.

Hannah Petry captured second-place accolades in the all-around competition with a total of 33.075 points to top Waseca’s scoring effort. Hannah Petry netted second on the floor (9.075) and fourth on the unevens (7.95) to pace her performance.

Samantha Petry claimed the vault crown by planting a 9.3-scored effort for the Bluejays.

Martin County Area (2-1 overall, 1-0 Big South East) travels to Windom Area next Thursday night.
