Collection helps stock shelves

Last weekend’s Kamp for Kids event, which collects food for the local Salvation Army, went well as more than 2,000 pounds of food was collected. So many families in our community utilize this service so it’s nice to see people giving, especially this time of year. The Salvation Army is still looking for donations and monetary gifts help fund some really great programs. Please consider giving.

Students gear up for competition

Today is the annual robotics competition hosted by Martin County KnowHow. What a great program that’s put on by local people in the community which helps instill an interest in engineering in our young students. We look forward to seeing this program continuing!

Illnesses affecting Martin County

Several illnesses are circulating around the county. Influenza A, RSV and Covid are affecting not just these parts, but the rest of the country as well. Local Public Health Sanitarian, Tim Langer, provided a reminder that people should be diligent and practice good hygiene, especially when gathering this time of year.
