Kidney donation impacts many

A Building Blocks employee, Kim Miller, is donating a kidney on behalf of one of her students, Parker Lintelman. This generous donation will save multiple lives through the National Kidney Registry Voucher Program. What a cool program that has no doubt saved many. We wish Kim and Parker the best of luck with their procedures.

Martin County native shares story

Brenda McEwing, a native of Sherburn, recently shared her story during the Martin County Historical Society’s annual meeting. McEwing has a long history in the U.S. Army. She has done much for her country, its veterans and she has also worked with the Native American community. We thank Brenda for all she’s done and for sharing her story.

FOH gears up for new event

This weekend The Fairmont Opera House is hosting a new event, Bacontown Throwdown. The event is a two night battle of the bands. This sound like a really fun way to highlight local talent. The Fairmont Opera House has been hosting many new, unique events for the community and we hope that people are taking advantage of these offerings.

Sheriff’s office shares transport info

This week the Martin County Sheriff’s Office shared some information with the commissioners regarding warrants and transports. The information was shared in response to some misinformation circulating on social media. It’s nice to have some clarity and we appreciate the sheriff’s office for bringing this to the attention of the commissioners and the community.
