FHS to showcase first summer theater

This past week, students at Fairmont High School put on a variety of show featuring work they’d done during the school’s first ever summer theater camp. It’s nice that the school put on this new summer program and that a good number of students took advantage of it. We’re looking forward to the school’s fall musical as well.

Fairmont Schools ready for a new year

At this week’s Fairmont School Board meeting, Activities Director Mat Mahoney went over the success of last school year’s activities. FHS provides students a great opportunity to participate in a number of athletics and other extracurriculars. It’s great to see so many students not only engaging in and enjoying these, but also having success in them.

Gomsrud designs make debut

The City of Fairmont is working on a redevelopment plan for Gomsrud Park. As Fairmont’s most utilized park, it’s really important that the boat ramp and parking lot have work done. Having some other things spruced up at the park will be an added bonus. We are looking forward to seeing the final schematic design in a few months.
