Economic development coordinator, Linsey Preuss, said the goal is to make sure local businesses have a long-term survival plan. This grant sounds like an excellent way to help retain and attract local businesses.
Be wise about Omicron
The new Omicron variant is spreading quickly across the nation and state. We need to be cognizant of the new variant in our local communities as well. Tim Langer, public health sanitarian for Faribault and Martin counties said it’s not too late to get vaccinated. He also encourages people to stay home if they’re sick. While there’s no masking mandate, masking in crowded areas would be wise.
Heaven’s Table looks to expand reach
Heaven’s Table Food Shelf is working on launching a new food delivery program. The program would deliver food to people in rural communities who are maybe unable to make it to the physical food shelf in Fairmont. This is a great way to fill the need throughout the county. Heaven’s Table is looking for volunteers to help pack up and deliver the food.
