Trump has always failed

To the editor:

In 2016, I went to a pop-up museum in the Mall of America. It was the Museum of Failure. One display was the evolution of viewing movies. First, we could see a movie at a theatre; when it was done showing, no more options to view it. Later, on tv, we could watch it, but only when it was being shown. Then we could rent a VHS movie and watch at home, when we wanted to watch it. There were also laser disc movies. The public chose VHS over laser discs, the laser discs died out. Next came DVDs, we loved them by the millions, doing away with our VHS systems. Next, we could stream a movie much cheaper than buying it. Now we can have a library of movies stored in the cloud, no storage at home needed. There were other examples of products that lost out to better products. Then there was one tower that was dedicated to Donald Trump’s failures: the university, steaks, book, casinos, airline, The Game, vodka, mortgage, magazine. I don’t remember all of them. And these were before he was a politician and did his outrageous merchandise such as the bit coin, phone, bible… oh let’s stop! I don’t understand why supporters say Trump is or was a successful businessman. He was bailed out by banks over and over again because they would have had to take pennies on the dollar of his failed projects. They decided his name brand, if unspoiled, was worth more down the road.

Now he is doing his “business brilliance” on our beautiful country. It’s very difficult to make changes to an intertwined economy. But he’s gone and made big, stupid changes, believing he has the Midas touch. He is seeing the results, which leads to more adjusting: importing ground beef to the distain of the cattle ranchers, high-jacking Venezuelan oil, high tariffs to our trade friendly countries, lifting sanctions to Russa to quell our high fuel costs.

We are having to live with his mess! I’m tired of it to say the least. I don’t understand why congress, our representatives, are not helping us. MAGA said if I voted for Kamala Harris gas prices would go up, grocery prices would go up, we would be at war in two years in the middle east. Damn if they weren’t right!

I will use my power of the vote November 3, 2026 to create a positive change.
