To the editor:

I want to clear up a rumor about a “frivolous lawsuit” against the city concerning the proposed YMCA. Fairmont Taxpayers Coalition for Government Transparency (Mark Ossenfort), filed the lawsuit, not c4asf. Mark Ossenfort owns the Cutting-Edge fitness center. His livelihood was at stake. What would you do? Now that the FACC’s CC is no longer a threat to his livelihood, Mark has begun to invest more into the Cutting Edge. He has upgraded equipment and will be expanding his staff. He has hired a professional in sports training and two other staff. I say this is exactly how a small community stays strong. We have had some incredible growth from small independent businesses starting up in the last year and a half. Let’s thank them for choosing our community and support them whenever we can.
