Grateful for park department’s response

To the Editor:

The dog park in Fairmont provides a great place for our four-legged pals to exercise, socialize, play and have fun. So when the holes our digger friends made became so large and deep that it became a safety issue, I brought my concerns to the attention of the Fairmont Park Department.

The very next day, the maintenance crew was out filling in those holes. They also removed some broken furniture, repaired the platform at the water station and brought in loads of wood chips. I was so impressed with their prompt response that I had to write to let folks know how fortunate they are to live in the city of Fairmont. And, I am so glad I recently made Fairmont my permanent home.
