MCW pool community to feel loss

To the Editor:

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the permanent closure of the MCW pool on Sunday, Aug. 11, 2024. This difficult decision has been made due to budget cuts and the increasingly unsustainable costs associated with maintaining the aging equipment.

We want to extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who has utilized and supported the MCW pool over the years. Your commitment and enthusiasm have made the pool a cherished part of our community.

As we prepare for the closure, we ask that all personal items be removed from the facility on or before Aug. 11. Additionally, please make sure to use up any remaining pool passes by this date, as they will no longer be valid after the closure.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support during this transition. We appreciate all the memories and moments shared at the MCW pool.
