Fairmont Track Association grateful for support

To the Editor:

\On behalf of the Fairmont Track Association, we are beyond grateful for the amazing grant dollars we received from the Schmeeckle Foundation and the Martin County Youth Foundation to close some significant deficits we had in our pole vault program.

As our season kicks off on March 11, their support, along with the additional help from the Fairmont Booster Club, Fairmont School District, the Fairmont Fire Department and a number of other generous individuals, our new inventory of poles have arrived. This season will be the first time in our program’s history that we will have a sufficient line of equipment needed to keep our pole vaulters safe, keep them progressing and in the best position to reach for their goals. What these grants have made possible for our student athletes and the impact it will have on the longevity of our program is truly incredible.

Thank you again to the Schmeeckle Foundation, the MCYF and the many other individuals and organizations who were involved in supporting our youth in this endeavor and for creating opportunities that wouldn’t have otherwise been possible. We are blessed to have such caring organizations and individuals within our community. Go Cards.
